Intended Use:

Examples for 2019 nCoV or influenza virus samples
• Nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab sample
• The nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab immersed into the SYNCstoreTM STM (2 ml). Agitate for
several times and discard the swab to a designated container following the guideline.
• Close the cap.
• Stand for 10 min.
• Ready for transport or store at low temperature.
• Take 400 ul and subject to the viral purification procedures using the GeneAid column viral
purification kit II.
• 2019-nCoV and influenza viruses RNA Purification
• Viral Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit II Protocol (GeneAid) Assay
• GeneAid Biomed 2019-nCoV real-time RT-PCR kit

Sampling Instruction:

1.Peel off the pouch and remove the swab (Fig.1).
2.Gently place the swab to the target area, small tip to the nasopharyngeal area (Fig.1), large tip to the throat
or oral area(Fig.2). Rotate the swabs firmly against the sampling area and then carefully withdraw the
swabs.
3.Open the cap of transport tube and put the swab into the SYNCstore™ STM. You can either (1) Holding the
swab shaft close to the rim of the tube and against the cap point the tube away, break the swabs shaft
along the snapping point indentation leaving the swab inside the tube (Fig.3); or (2) Simply mix the swabs
thoroughly in the SYNCstore™ STM and discard the swab appropriately.
4.Close the cap back on the tube and send for analysis (Fig. 4).

Intended use:

The kit is ideal for collection cells and microbiological specimen from nasopharynx. The swab is tipped with
dedicated nylon-flocked material which presents exceptional recovery of specimen for it can effectively
carry and release samples. Soft and flexible material provides comfort sampling. Samples can be stored in
the transport tube for easy transport to a laboratory for analysis.

Sampling Instruction:

Universal Transport Medium (UTM) Buffer Use Instruction:

The buffer contains a stable composition of proteins and antibiotics to reduce bacterial and fungal contamination. This medium is non-toxic and stabilized at the neutral PH similar to the host mammalian cells. It is suitable for general operation in clinical laboratories including virus, Chlamydia and Mycoplasma.

Storage Condition:

Do not freeze the swab kits, store at 2 ~25°C before use.
In order to achieve the best results of subsequent pathogen culture detection, it is recommended to refrigerate at 2 to 8°C after inspection. If long-term preservation of is required, it is recommended to store it frozen below -20°C after inspection.
